Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) teaches skills that help students set goals, make decisions, collaborate with one another, problem solve, make friends, and build confidence.  SEL supports core learning such as math, science, and literacy by building cooperation, communication, and decision-making skills.  LUSD uses Second Step curriculum to provide SEL instruction to all students.
