Visual and Performing Arts

Colorful musical notes float along a curved path. The mission for the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program is to provide all students with programs that foster learning and appreciation for the arts, including both visual and performing arts.

We are proud to offer a range of VAPA opportunities across our schools. In addition to music, some sites also offer art and design instruction as part of their VAPA curriculum. Each school’s schedule and VAPA resources may differ based on site-specific goals.

Goals for Classroom Music

Goals for Visual Art and Design

  • To develop creative thinking, self-expression, and visual communication through foundational techniques, media exploration, and design principles, while fostering appreciation for art.
