Our General Music programs incorporate many different skills into TK-4th grade music classes, including but NOT limited to:

- Lyrical phonemic awareness/diction

- Basic concepts of beat/rhythm/patterns

- Pitch recognition and vocal pitch matching

- Healthy vocal tone production technique

- Instrument families and sound production

- Various musical styles and genres

- Historic and cultural music elements

- Performance stage presence and etiquette 

Each student will have access to a robust music curriculum that features songs and lessons from the following resources:

  • Music K-8 from Plank Road Publishing

  • Essential Elements Music Class from Hal Leonard Publishing

  • Orff Schulwerk Instrumental Training

  • Kodaly Solfege/Vocal Training
