  • The Loomis Union School District participates in the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting

    Act (CUPCCAA) to streamline bidding processes and provide opportunities for qualified contractors.

    Under CUPCCAA guidelines:

    • Projects under $60,000 may be performed by negotiated contract or purchase order.
    • Projects between $60,000 and $200,000 require informal bidding procedures.
    • Projects over $200,000 follow formal bidding processes.

  • The Loomis Union School District utilizes PlanetBids to manage vendor registration, RFPs, and bidding processes. PlanetBids provides a user-friendly, efficient, and transparent way for contractors and vendors to interact with the District.

     

    How to Register on PlanetBids:

    1. Visit the District’s PlanetBids Portal
    2. Create a vendor profile and complete registration.
    3. Update your profile annually to ensure eligibility for upcoming opportunities.

  • To perform work for the District, contractors must meet pre-qualification requirements, as outlined in Public Contract Code Section 20111.6. Pre-qualification is mandatory for all general contractors and subcontractors performing projects over $1 million.

     

    How to Pre-Qualify:

    1. Download the Pre-Qualification Application.
    2. Complete and submit the form, along with the required documentation.
    3. Approved contractors will be placed on the District’s Pre-Qualified Contractor List for the current calendar year.
  • The Loomis Union School District posts all RFPs and bidding opportunities on PlanetBids. Contractors are required to register and log into PlanetBids to view and respond to active opportunities.

    To receive notifications about new RFPs and projects:

  • In compliance with CUPCCAA, the District maintains an Informal Bid List for contractors interested in performing projects under $200,000.

    • Register on PlanetBids and select your appropriate trade categories.
    • Complete the CUPCCAA Contractor Application and submit to vendors@loomisk8.org.

     

    Note: Contractors must renew their PlanetBids registration annually to remain eligible.
